Haiti - Football : Emerson Georges successfully operated for a double fracture tibia-fibula

Tuesday Emerson Georges, Violette SC side-left player, suffered a double tibia-fibula fracture in the U-23 qualifier against the Cayman Islands in the first round of playoffs counting for the Summer Olympics Tokyo 2020 https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-28357-icihaiti-tokyo-2020-the-grenadiers-qualified-for-the-second-round.html has been operated successfully.

As expected since his serious injury Emerson Georges was taken care of as soon as he got off the plane, by the National Ambulance Center who drove him to the Diquini Adventist Hospital where a battery of veteran doctors were waiting for him on the spot to proceed to a delicate operation as it had been planned even before his return to the country with the medical team of the Olympic selection.

The surgical operation began at 4:00 pm, and was successfully completed 3 hours later, said Dr. Martial Beneche of the national team on the phone. He said that Dr Jean Jacky and Dr Hyacinthe who were actively involved in the surgery, gave the guarantee that the Saint-Marcois, if everything goes well during his recovery, will have no problem to hit the ball again but in the meantime he will have to spend at least 5 to 6 months away from the stadiums...

Meanwhile, the Violette SC will have before his return to find another left side...
