Haiti - Football : Jonel Désiré signs with the ENPPI First League Egyptian Club

Saturday, July 20, the Egyptian Premier League Football Club ENPPI, announced the signing of a contract with the Haitian international forward Jonel Désiré (22 years) of AS Mirebalais, one of the Grenadiers who played four games of the Gold Cup 2019, including the semifinal match against Mexico https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-28137-haiti-gold-cup-2019-haiti-eliminated-in-semi-final-by-mexico-[0-1]-on-a-questionable-penalty.html

Jonel Désiré started his career at AS Mirebalais and played for AS Capoise, in the United Soccer League alongside Real Monarchs and FC Lori Vanadzor of Armenia, who signed him on loan from AS Mirebalais last summer.

Jonel Désiré impressed FC Lori and won the top scorer title in the Armenian Premier League after scoring 17 goals in 25 games, helping his club to finish fifth. The Armenian club tried to get Désiré signed as permanent, but announced on July 18 that the negotiations had failed. Two days later, ENPPI signed with Désiré.

In total, Désiré has represented Haiti 15 times internationally, scoring twice (against Suriname and Guyana).
