Dominican visit to the Mayor of Delmas

A delegation of the Dominican Federation of Municipalities (FEDOMU), visiting Haiti, visited this week the premises of the Town Hall of Delmas. During this visit, the head of the delegation, Luis Manuel Feliz, Mayor of Pedernales, met with Mayor Wilson Jeudy to discuss some common points of their visions for their respective municipalities.

State Department Leadership Program

Ambassador Sison met with a group of Haitian government officials, civil society members, and journalists selected to participate in the Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) on the theme of Combating Trafficking in Persons. Participants will travel to Washington D.C., Iowa City, and Dallas to examine U.S. local, national, and international efforts to fight the scourge of trafficking in persons. The United States is committed to engaging the Haitian government and civil society to prevent trafficking, protect victims, and prosecute traffickers.
