ALERT : Fatal cases of tuberculosis in prisons

Judge Daniel Ovide Peace Tribunal of Miragoane, sounds the alarm on cases of tuberculosis recorded in the civil prison of Anse-à-veau and the custody of Miragoâne police station. According to the magistrate, several cases of tuberculosis have been recorded in recent days in detention centers, and this highly contagious disease has already cost the lives of two prisoners during the month of March. The last victim, Destiny Trofort suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis, died on the night of March 27-28 at Sainte-Thérèse Hospital in Miragoane.
