Haiti - Justice : The CSC/CA reveals that the Senate also managed PetroCaribe funds

The Superior Court of Accounts and Administrative Disputes (CSC/CA) revealed this week that the Senate had also managed projects funded by PetroCaribe funds to the tune of 50 million and requests explanations from the Upper House and the handing over of all documents relating to these projects.

In a correspondence dated 14 March 2019, the Superior Court of Audit and Administrative Disputes wrote to Carl Murat Cantave, the President of the Senate informing him that the CSC/CA, in the framework of the production of the 2nd report of audit of the PetroCaribe Funds for the period from 2012 to 2018 found that the Senate managed projects funded by this fund as revealed by the data presented:

Date : Sept. 2012 Account : #121263700 Project : Institutional Strength Amount: 50,000,000.00

"In view of this fact, the Court requests from the Senate the financial reports and all other administrative, technical and financial documents relating to these projects. It asks for the documentation for each project relating to data sheets, contracts, disbursements, completion reports and various other documents.

In order to receive after inventory, these documents, has been designated a Commission composed of two accredited auditors of the institution.

The Court would be grateful if you would give the necessary instructions to all levels of the Senate of the Republic in order to make available to it, as soon as possible, all the files relating to these projects and to enable it to carry out its audit," one can read in this correspondence.
