Haiti - Football : The Ministry condemns the acts of vandalism at Gérard Christophe Park

The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Civic Action (MJSAC) has learned, through the press, that supporters of Valencia FC of Léogâne have vandalized the field of Gérard Christophe Park of Léogâne preventing the meeting Cavaly AS vs Archaie FC Saturday, March 2, 2019, match of the opening tournament of the 2019 season of the Haitian Championship of Professional Football (CHFP).

The Ministry wishes to point out that such acts, such as the assaults of the buses of the America of Les Cayes and Arcahaie FC, distanced Valencia FC from the sporting spirit by vandalizing a public good to prevent the unfolding in Léogâne of matches of the 2019 season of the National First Division Championship.

The Ministry condemns this unsportsmanlike attitude and reminds Valencia FC that Gérard Christophe Park is a public good built for the benefit of Léogâne's youth in general and the clubs of the city of Anacaona in particular, who must have the enjoyment without any hindrance.

The MJSAC reminds the actors of the Sports Associations to always use the legal channels fixed by the regulations and statutes to settle their sports disputes and to show "fair play" to facilitate the practice and the development of the sport through the country.
