The Commission hoped to obtain explanations on the presence of the 7 heavily armed foreigners, arrested in Port-au-Prince on February 17th. https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-26963-haiti-flash-a-mysterious-commando-of-heavily-armed-foreigners-arrested-in-port-au-prince.html among others : how did they come in ? Who hosted them? From where come the weapons ? What was their mission ?

This session was held in behind closed doors, away from the microphones and cameras and we will never really know what was said behind the door. At the end of this session which lasted nearly 2 hours, the mystery remains around these armed foreigners on the soil of Haiti and it seems that the answers given to the Commission were more political than explanatory...

Michel-Ange Gédéon, the Director General of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) confirmed that he did not want to reveal to the members of the Commission the sensitive information he held on this group of foreigners "I felt that it was not prudent to share all the information we have. Sharing them could have compromised the further investigation [...]"

Jean Renel Sénatus at the refusal of Gédéon to share the information he held, said that the Commission had decided to refer the case to the Assembly of Senators.

All he learned, if he did not already know was that these men had arrived on a private plane without going through the immigration service and had been transferred less than 72 hours after their arrest in the United States in confused circumstances and filled with shadows...
