Haiti - Economy : Imprecise measures and announcements for the benefit of the population

Tuesday, as part of a joint press conference of the Government, Jean Michel Lapin, the Minister of Communication announced that provisions had been adopted for the creation of 200,000 temporary jobsin various sectors including that of sanitation... without going into the details of this program...

Reynaldo Brunet, the Minister of the Interior and Territorial Communities said "Arrangements will be made so that, in common agreement with the town halls, the sanitation work is done efficiently."

For his part, Ronald Décembre, the Minister of Finance, following 3 government councils that have held since the beginning of the crisis to address the problems identified from an assessment of the situation, recalled that provisions for to clean up public finances had been taken to allow the state to save 13 billion gourdes for the benefit of the population.
