The former Haitian teacher and feminist activist well known and respected, Odette Roy Fombrun, for her great contribution to education in Haiti, sacred "National Treasure alive" in 2009, which will celebrate on June 18 its 102 years, accuses in an open letter, members of the Core Group in Haiti to have done nothing to support the mandate of President Jovenel Moïse and to have contributed to its failure and the chaotic situation that prevails today in Haiti.

Open letter from Mrs. Odette Roy Fombrun :

"Ladies and gentlemen, the ambassadors representing the Great Powers gathered in the Western bloc, while China and Russia are part of the Eastern bloc, are in the middle of a hegemonic war everywhere.

This cold war has repercussions in America, particularly in Venezuela, and is already being felt here. Indeed, during the demonstrations we saw burn the American flag https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-26949-icihaiti-social-protesters-burn-the-american-flag-and-ask-for-help-from-russia.html and heard shout loudly, "Long live Russia! President Putin come help us! Long live China! come to our rescue!" It's not just the young advocates who are on the streets. There are on the ground many radical left-wing figures, senators, deputies, the well-known Moise Jean-Charles, André Michel, Schiller Louidor and many others, funded perhaps by the Eastern Bloc. What are you going to do ? Continue to be actors interested only in your hidden goals and indifferent to the distress of the country, or visionaries fundamentally democratic, acting with conviction and courage for the benefit of this sister nation, in the strictest respect of its dignity of people ?

On many occasions, you have affirmed your support for President Jovenel Moise on the basis of the constitutionality of his mandate, which it is important to respect at all costs. But concretely, you did nothing to help him succeed in his mandate. You knew that he inherited empty coffers, thirty years of bad governance, with a flawed administration, rickety institutions and heavy debts including that of PetroCaribe.

It required the President of the Republic and his Government the effective and united support of the Great Friends by providing him with the support of experienced, honest and dedicated technicians and billions to realize his electoral promises of reconstruction : promise to revive agriculture for to feed its people, promise to put in place the infrastructures indispensable for economic and industrial development, promise to activate social programs essential to the improvement of the living conditions of the population.

You have not been able to convince your respective countries to provide the necessary assistance on either side: no valid human resources and consequent to contribute to the recovery of the public administration, to thwart the contraband and the drug trafficking, to contribute to social programs with measurable effects. None of the international banks engaged by the Great Powers that you represent have answered the call of the President. He was not given any substantial loans, only crumbs.

So, obviously, you and the countries you represent have also contributed to its failure and the chaotic situation of today."
