Haiti - Crisis : Protests affect the water supply of the capital

Guito Édouard, Director General of the National Directorate of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DINEPA) through the office of the Metropolitan Region of Port-au-Prince informs its subscribers and the general public, that because of events, difficulties in fuel supply prevent the normal operation (at the desired pace) of the 18 pumping stations in the capital.

DINEPA is doing the necessary to fill its various water tanks to provide service as usual to the population. It asks everyone to collaborate to facilitate the passage of its tankers to the arteries of the capital and especially to the disadvantaged neighborhoods (Our weavers or other employees identify themselves with the uniforms bearing the logo CTE RMPP or DINEPA) .

Note HL : Haiti's largest fuel terminal, located in the commune of Carrefour, has been unable to supply the country with fuel for four days because of the protests and the risks that tanker traffic can represent in the circumstances.
