Haiti - Super Bowl : The MHAVE congratulates the Haitian-American Sony Michel for his decisive action in the victory of the Patriots

Mamatha Irene Ternier, the Minister of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE) congratulates the Running Back of the New England Patriots, Sony Michael (23 years) born in Orlando of Haitian parents, for his touchdowns decisive in his team's victory over the Los Angeles Rams [13-3] in the Super Bowl 2018-2019 finals.

Recall that it is the equalization of the Rams [3-3] thanks to a 53-yard kick from their striker Greg Zuerlein, two minutes from the end of the third period that Sony Michel rushing into the goal scored the first and only touchdown of the final giving a decisive advantage to his team [10-3], before a last kick from Gostkowski one minute from the end of the match [13-3]. Draped with our two-colored Sony Michel could not retain his euphoria and pride to dedicate his victory to all Haitians.

Two-colored Haitian around the neck, Sony told the media "I came here and I played for something much bigger than me. I played for the team, to represent Haiti, to draw attention to what is happening there."

Recall this is the first season at the NFL for Sony Michel who signed to evolve within the New England Patriots as Running Back. A position in which he made many touchdowns to send the New England Patriots to the Super Bowl.

Minister Ternier wants to show her gratitude for being the first Haitian-American to have marked this Touchdown in the Super Bowl and thanks Sony Michel who, by his talent and the pride of his country of origin, projected an image positive of Haiti on the international scene.
