Tuesday, carriers of Fonds-Parisien, communal section of Ganthier (West) prevented the entry of the vehicles ensuring the transport Malpasse/Jimani and Haiti/Dominican Republic, in protest of the murder of a driver, Acélorme Misuis aka "Dèdè", which occurred on January 20th on the road of Fonds-Parisien.

The drivers denounced the climate of widespread insecurity in the commune of Ganthier where one of them was killed while carrying passengers.

This protest movement paralyzed economic activities at the Malpasse/Jimani border where traders who carry out their daily activities in this area were forced to return home.
