Haiti - Education : Launch of the 4th edition of the School Music Competition

On Wednesday, January 9th, as part of the Citizenship Education Campaign, Pierre Josué Agénor Cadet, the Minister of National Education launched the 4th Edition of the Music Competition.

"An n kole tèt pou yon lòt Ayiti" is the theme chosen this year for this competition for young people in school, aged 14 to 20, who must constitute a group of 3 to 5 young people maximum for the design and production of their musical work.

Respect for the theme, originality, composition text, consistency of words, performance of the song are some of the criteria to be followed by participants who can produce their text in Creole or French on the musical genre of their choice.

The works of the different groups will be received in digital format on CD or USB key at the Ministry Communication Office in Delmas 83 or in the Departmental Directorates of Education (DDE) or by email annkoletèt2019@gmail.com between 21 January and February 22, 2019.

School principals must agree to different groups in their school wishing to participate in the competition.

After evaluation of a jury composed of renowned artists such as BIC, Belot, Tamara Suffren, Darline Desca and Raoul Denis Junior, 10 finalist groups will be selected for the final ceremony scheduled for March 22nd.

Books, laptops, CD containing the ten best songs with the coaching of the artists jury members are the bonuses that will be offered to the first winners of the competition.

For the Minister Cadet, the chosen theme reflects the whole vision of the approach to live together and work together for the benefit of the Homeland.

Placing a word in the circumstances, the artists, members of the Jury, expressed their joy to participate in this contest which aims to better develop the talents of young people, enable them to discover their potential and teach them how to work together and succeed together .
