Desrosiers confirmed that the police had regained control at Savane Pistache following the operation of last December 21 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-26489-haiti-flash-terror-in-savane-pistache-houses-of-police-officers-burned.html adding that several specialized units including the Departmental Unit of maintenance of order (UDMO) and the Brigade of Operation and Intervention Departmental (BOID) are confined to Savane Pistache.

On 20 December in the Saint-Louis-du-Sud zone, 7 individuals including 6 Jamaicans and a Haitian were arrested, 5 firearms, numerous ammunition, 3 motorboats, a large sum of money and about 9 kg of narcotics were seized.
