Tuesday at the Ciné Triomphe President Jovenel Moïse, accompanied by Prime Minister Jean Henry Céant and Pierre Josué Agenor Cadet, the Minister of National Education, in the presence of Joseph Lambert, the President of the Senate and the National Assembly and several senior officials of the Public Administration, during a ceremony, paid a vibrant tribute to the 34 laureates of the 2018 State Examinations (Baccalaureate, 9th Year Fundamental, Normal Schools of Teachers and Family Education Centers), testimony of his desire to encourage excellence.

President Moïse reminded the importance of education considered as the base on which rests the future of the country, also greeted the commitment of the parents daily to mentor their children and to direct them towards the way of the Excellency. Emphasizing that these young people are an example for all students who want to make the study the compass of their success.

The Minister Cadet sees in the presence of the highest dignitaries of the Nation at this ceremony, the manifestation of a particular interest for the educational sector, welcoming the direct funding granted by the Executive to educational institutions, including the presbyteral schools, those of Protestant denomination, as well as the communal schools, in order to allow the needy pupils to have access to the classrooms and to a quality education.

Scholarships, laptops, lots of books, support funds, support for women's entrepreneurship are the bonuses offered to the winners of state exams according to their category, in addition to a flat-rate support of 50,000 gourdes each laureate on the day of the ceremony.

Among the 34 laureates, 13 are from the renovated secondary, 9 from the traditional high school, 3 from the 9th grade, 6 from the teacher training colleges (ENI) and 3 from the Family Education Centers (CEF).
