One hundred weapons and thousands of ammunition seized

Robert Conand Massé, Director of Legal Affairs at Customs, reports that more than 100 firearms of all caliber and tens of thousands of ammunition have been seized since the beginning of the year in ports, airports and at land borders.

Increase of 200% of the customs deductibles

Tuesday, Romel Bell, the Director General of the General Administration of Customs, revealed that the amount of customs exemptions granted by the State during the financial year 2017-2018 amounted to 19 billion, almost double the 10 billion granted during the previous financial year (2016-2017). If the NGOs are pointed out by the Senator Youri Latortue, President of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Committee of the Senate, these represent only 30% of the amount of the franchises granted.
