Haiti - Security : The PM calls the police officers to avoid the provocations of the demonstrators

At the approach of the commemoration of the Battle of Vertières (18 November), which augurs several dark days, of social disorder and demonstrations, as announced in particular by the radical opposition, the Prime Minister Jean Henry Céant also President of the Superior Council of the National Police (CSPN) indicated that he had passed instructions to the high command of the CSPN, to ensure the safety of life and property of the population.

The Head of Government, while recognizing the right of all citizens to demonstrate peacefully, recommends that the police officers "avoid the provocation of demonstrators", convinced that the problems in Haiti must be resolved through dialogue, in order and disciplined.

He reminded the police officers of the institution's motto of "serving and protecting".
