Haiti - Elections : It's finished... The future of Haiti is in the ballot boxes

The polling stations closed at 4:00 pm in the provinces where the counting has begun in some provincial towns, only the area of Port-au-Prince benefits of an extension up to approximately (+/-) 5:00 pm depending on the number of voters remaining in the queue... In less than half an hour the second round of elections will end.

In the coming days it will probably be possible to have a better idea of ​​the turnout of voters at national level.

Compared to the first turn, these elections can be qualified "of acceptable" although we can regret some incidents, irregularities, violence and fraud, it is not question to speak, unlike to the first round of widespread problems. Some mourn, rightly, the drifts and excesses of the partisans as well of the candidates to the Presidential election as those of legislative undoubtedly the organization of this election could have been better, but the worst scenario was avoided.

The various security forces involved throughout the day and the previous weeks, say they are generally satisfied with the conduct of the elections throughout the country.
