Dr. Marie Gréta Roy Clément, the Minister of Public Health denies the rumor circulating on social networks that "the Ministry urges the population not to consume the products of the Pastry Marie Béliard."

The Ministry denies this information and "deplores the fact that malicious people use its name for dishonest purposes and invites the public to exercise discernment, as to these false information broadcast on social networks."

The Ministry wishes to reassure the public about the measures taken to reinforce the surveillance of epidemics or abnormal phenomena through its Laboratory Epidemiology Department and also to inform it that its Public Health Service has been strengthened to better protect consumers.
