The Tourist Police (PoliTour), a specialized unit of the National Police of Haiti (PNH) celebrated this week its 5 years of existence and services within the Haitian tourism sector.

Since then, this force has not stopped growing. Of the 50 police officers who have undergone a rigorous and adapted training to integrate this new structure, the force of the Politour now stands at 138 members, which it is preparing to double soon.

"The Politour is one of our priorities and for this new exercise 2018-2019, the Minister of Tourism Marie-Christine Stephenson and I, we will strive to improve their living conditions and service," said Andy Durosier Director General Ministry.
