Haiti - Economy : Training for 150 beneficiaries of the Support Program for Youth Entrepreneurship

As part of the second component of its Program to Support Youth Entrepreneurship (PAPEJ), the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MCI) organizes on 27 and 28 September 2018 a training in business management and accounting for 150 companies recipients of the PPAJ.

It should be remembered that the PAPEJ aims to promote youth entrepreneurship while helping them, on the one hand, to launch innovative income-generating activities and on the other, to consolidate their entrepreneurial activities through technical and financial support aimed at to promote the development and creation of wealth.

This workshop, which brings together mainly young Haitian entrepreneurs working in activities likely to boost the national economy, aims to help beneficiaries acquire the knowledge necessary for effective management of their businesses.

In his speech Ronell Gilles, the new Minister of MCI announced "The MCI will go further by providing post-financing support to beneficiary companies. This is the last component of the program that aims to mentor young entrepreneurs after financing their business in the execution of their business plan. To this end, the Ministry through the PAPEJ intends to assist the beneficiary companies in the different stages of their growth to ensure their viability."

The Minister also encouraged young people to cultivate the entrepreneurial spirit, exploit the potential of Haiti and support the local economy by developing companies capable of generating jobs.

Daniel Denis, the Director General of the Ministry recalled the importance of supporting job creation through local economic initiatives "Haiti needs work to get out of poverty. Also, the Government can only rejoice in an initiative that allows the creation of jobs while enhancing the competence of young people "inviting participants to become promoters of the potential of Haitian youth concluding" Be part of those who believe in the future of Haiti that are undertaking, that contribute to creating wealth."
