Haiti - NYC : Discussions on the role of the diaspora in the development of Haiti

The delegation headedby the Director General of the Ministry of Communication, Calvin Cadet and composed of the spokesman of the President of the Republic, Martine Denis Chandler, the Special Adviser, Jude Charles Faustin, and the Councilor, Daniel Joseph is on his second day of mission to the Haitian diaspora in New York https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-25549-haiti-politic-towards-a-reinforcement-of-the-communication-with-the-diaspora.html

On Saturday, September 16, 2018, the delegation was received at Radio Independance in Brooklyn to participate in the program Forum 360 hosted by Jean-Claude Junior Vaval and Jacques Dorvil. On this special broadcast, the Spokesperson of the President of the Republic, Martine Denis Chandler and the Special Advisers, Jude Charles Faustin and Daniel Joseph, answered the relevant questions of the presenters in search of the latest information and explanations concerning the Caravan of Change, the use of the National Fund of Education (FNE), the PetroCaribe file and other points of socio-political actuality in Haiti.

The second day of communication and information mission continued at Tonèl Restaurant located in Brooklyn, in the heart of the region where a large part of the Haitian community is gathered. At Tonèl Restaurant, the discussions focused on the important role of the diaspora in the development of Haiti and the involvement of our compatriots from outside in the management of State affairs. From complaints to suggestions, the debates were fruitful and led to the need for a better integration of the diaspora in Haiti.

The Ministry of Communication salutes the sense of patriotism of all those who welcomed the delegation and renews the strong will of the President of the Republic, Jovenel Moïse to work so that our dear Haiti becomes again this hospitable land, welcoming for all his sons and daughters.
