Haiti - Elections : Jean Henry Céant remains on his original position
Four days before the second round of the elections in Haiti, Jean Henry Céant "Renmen Ayiti" remains on his original position and continues to demand the cancellation of the first round of November 28, 2010, marked by severe irregularities and massive fraud. At a news conference Tuesday, Mr. Ceant once again enounced the illegality of the electoral process [nopublication of the scores of the candidates, no decree summoning the people in its "comices"...

Reacting to the position of the 5 members of the Group of 12, who officially endorsed the candidacy of Michel Martelly, Me Céant recalled that "each member of the group is free to choose" adding that the group of the 12 "is not a political organization but a coalition of candidates victims of irregularities and fraud in the first round of the elections". He claims to have good relations with these political leaders and does not exclude the possibility to continue collaborating with them.
