Haiti - Quebec : Homage to the Foundation KANPE
Yesterday to the National Assembly, Benoit Charette, the deputy of Deux-Montagnes and spokesman of the official opposition concerning the immigration, was pleased to pay homage to the Board of Governors of the Foundation KANPE "Initiatives such as KANPE make us particularly proud. That Quebecers of Haitian origin mobilizes the business community of Quebec in order to offer to the Haitian people the possibility [to develop itself], thanks to an integrated program involving both health education, nutrition, agriculture and microfinance is extraordinary", said the deputy.

The motion presented by the deputy of Deux-Montagnes "salutes the dynamism and altruism of the members of the organism set up in order to create a new global program that accompanies and supports the most vulnerable in their quest for a better future".

Pauline Marois, the leader of the Opposition has also paid homage to the members of the Board of Governors of the Foundation during a ceremony in the office of President of the National Assembly. "Supporting the families in Haiti, give them the means to become autonomous, to appropriate the tools of development, this is just go to the Haitian nation a part of everything she gave us. It is even more important to do this at this time of crisis and uncertainty, but it is mostly a sacred mission, a duty of solidarity that we owe to Haiti. An uncompromising look, without condescension, because after all, we must acknowledge it, there is a little of Haiti in what the Quebec became".
