Haiti - Football : The Chamber of Deputies, official sponsor of the women's league

On Friday, in support of the Women's Football Selection, a 5-year Memorandum of Understanding was signed in the presence of the Grenadières of the U-20 Selection by Gary Bodeau, Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies and Yves Jean Bart, the President of the Haitian Football Federation (FHF) in order to revive the National Women's Football Championship, which will be named after the agreement "Cup of Parliament".

In this agreement, the lower house undertakes to finance all activities leading to the resumption of the women's football championship. To help the FHF the deputy Bodeau announced that the Lower House will disburse this year on its operating budget 3.5 million Gourdes for the organization of the Cup of Parliament. In addition, in order to enhance the brilliance of women's football, the Lower House office plans to grant a subsidy to U-20 players who have just represented Haiti at the World Championship in France.

With this commitment, the Chamber of Deputies becomes the official sponsor of the Haitian league for women's football. Gary Bodeau, who discussed this initiative with Senate Speaker Joseph Lambert, hopes that the Upper House will also get involved soon.
