Haiti - Politic : The Chamber of Deputies will accompany the women's football

For the third time in a year, women's football is honored in Parliament. Satisfied like all Haitians by the high level performance of our U-20 Grenadières at the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup France 2018 despite their elimination in the group stage https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-25239-haiti-france-2018-our-valiant-grenadieres-bow-with-honor-face-germany-[3-2].html the Chamber of Deputies does not want to stop there.

The Chamber of Deputies alongside other public and private entities is ready to invest in supporting Haitian women's football to new heights. This is why at the initiative of the Chamber of Deputies in addition to a tribute to our players finalists in France 2018, the lower house is preparing to sign an agreement this Friday, August 24, 2018 at 9:30 am with the Haitian Federation of Football (FHF) to directly support women's football, which needs more than ever resources to develop well and fly to new successes.

The FHF hopes that other sponsors will come forward to invest in a development program for the sport and help Haiti to become a stronghold of women's football by allowing, among other things : caring and coaching of young girls both in their training at the sports level and in their general education; an increased presence of players in major international tournaments to facilitate their progression and the proliferation of clinics and tournaments of young women footballers across the country.

The FHF recalls that it has many projects in preparation, including the Federal Women's Academies that will support girls earlier from the age of 6-8 years to expand the still marginal base despite its long practice in Haiti since 1972.
