Haiti - France 2018 : Our Grenadières well supported on the spot by the Haitian officials

On Monday, as part of the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup France 2018, on the lawn of the Marville stadium (Saint-Malo) in front of more than 2,500 spectators and alongside more than a thousand Haitian fans, Régine Lamur, the resigning Minister of the Youth, the First Lady Martine Moïse and the Ambassador of Haiti in Paris Vanessa Matignon Lamothe made the trip to Saint-Malo, to encourage our Grenadières who faced China in their first group match.

With the mobilization orchestrated by the team of the Embassy of Haiti in Paris and its support to the Committee of Friends of the Selection, Haitian compatriots came from France in particular, from Europe in general and from the United States of America to accompany the National Selection by creating a crazy atmosphere at the Stade de Marvile from the beginning to the end of the match and especially when our team was in trouble.

Despite the defeat of our Grenadières against the People's Republic of China [1-2] https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-25173-haiti-flash-nerigol-scored-his-first-goal-in-women-s-world-cup-france-2018.html the fans continued to express their attachment to our players by congratulating them for their talents, their determination and their attitude on the field. As state authorities, Haitian fans after the match, encouraged the Grenadières to continue to believe in their potential to do better at the next meeting against Nigeria on Thursday, August 9, 2018. A decisive match that Haiti must absolutely not lose at Saint-Malo Marville Stadium 4:30 pm (France time) to stay in the tournament.
