Haiti - Politic : Various reactions to the appointment of the new PM

The appointment by President Moïse of the Notary Jean-Henry Céant as Prime Minister https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-25163-haiti-flash-moise-chooses-jean-henry-ceant-as-new-prime-minister.html caused many opposite reactions...

Jorchemy Jean-Baptiste, the number two of the party "Renmen Ayiti" which Céant is the leader, recalls that as Prime Minister, he must share the vision of the President to whom he has an obligation of solidarity emphasizing that Céant is a rallying man who has the ability to interact with all sectors.

Rudy Hériveaux, the spokesperson of PHTK, the party of power, assures that he fully supports the candidacy of the new Prime Minister.

Senator Youri Latortue (AAA) sees this appointment as a positive step, saying that his party is ready to join the government if he gets guarantees that the PetroCaribe issue will be a priority of the next government.

Eric Jean-Baptiste, the former presidential candidate under the banner of the "Socialist Action Movement" (MAS), the appointment of Me Céant is a responsible choice, recognizing the skills and capacity of the new PM, however, stating that his position is not a blank check to the newcomer.

The Deputy Abel Descollines (KID) member of the minority opposition calls on the new PM to demonstrate, without demagogy, what he can offer the country, however he asserts that his bloc will make known its final position when the personalities of the next Government will be known.

Jean-Charles Moïse, leader of the radical opposition "Petit Dessalin" and the Movement "of the democratic and popular opposition" which gathers about twenty of the opposition party, minimize the choice of Jean-Henry Céant and claim in unity the departure of the Head of State.
