Haiti - FLASH : Taiwan will build an electricity grid for Port-au-Prince

According to the Taipei press citing a senior official of the Government of Taiwan (Republic of China) Taiwan and Haiti this year should sign an agreement for the construction of a power grid in Port-au-Prince to alleviate supply problems in electricity.

The project, which would cost about $ 147 million, is one of the initiatives being examined by a high-level bilateral working group tasked with drafting new conditions for cooperation https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-24648-haiti-politic-electricity-taiwanese-experts-in-haiti.html , in accordance with the principled consensus between President Tsai Ing-wen and President Jovenel Moise during his visit to Taiwan last May https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-24534-haiti-politic-towards-new-terms-of-cooperation-with-taiwan.html
