Haiti - FLASH : Heavy balance of riots

For its part, the National Ambulance Center (CAN), confirms that it has transported urgently during the 3 days of riots, more than 100 wounded, of which about 20 by bullets mainly at the State University Hospital of Haiti (HUEH) and at tLa Paix Hospital in Delmas 33 https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-24940-icihaiti-security-the-riots-made-several-dozen-injured-by-bullets.html . The National Police of Haiti (PNH) deplores the death of two of its agents.

According to the report of the partial assessment carried out by the Network for the Defense of Human Rights (RNDDH) presented Tuesday, 76 vehicles were burned down : 52 parked on the courts of commercial enterprises and 24 new vehicles in two showrooms of Universal Motors on the road to the airport and Pétion-ville. At least 80 private enterprises and State institutions were looted and/or burned during the riots. including 30 private companies, out of a mall. In addition, 11 companies had broken windows and 3 suffered fire attempts. The PNH reports significant damage to 4 sub-police stations.

At least 12 companies (2 in Delmas, 8 in Pétion-ville, 1 in downtown and 1 on the road to the airport) were looted.

8 shopping centers, bringing together more than 50 shops were damaged during the violent events of July 6, 7 and 8.

In addition, Me Clamé Ocnam Daméus, the Government Commissioner at the Court of First Instance (TPI) of Port-au-Prince confirms that more than 100 people have been arrested, accused among others of looting and arson during these 3 days of riots.
