Tuesday evening President Jovenel Moïse met with the main political parties in the country and said at the end of this meeting "We had very fruitful exchanges around the unfortunate events of the past weekend, the change of Government and urgent actions to undertake to improve the living conditions of the population. These political parties will meet shortly to submit a proposal." That same day, he met the Core Group https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-24912-icihaiti-politic-core-group-and-caricom-deeply-concerned.html in the wake of exchanges with different sectors on the current crisis.

On Tuesday, Moïse met at the National Palace with representatives of the private business sector of the metropolitan area, hard hit by acts of vandalism, around the way to take to return to stability and sustainable recovery of the economy. He also met some very affected members of the informal sector, who saw their goods destroyed during the fires that broke out in the public markets, saying "the Moïse Administration will assume its responsibility."

In addition, the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ) confirmed in a statement that no decision was made at the meeting of about twenty minutes on Monday https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-24917-haiti-news-zapping.html between the presidents of the 3 constituted powers of the state around the crisis.

For his part, Prime Minister Jack Guy Lafontant, condemns the acts of violence that occurred on the 6th and 7th after the decision to adjust prices at the pump followed a few hours later, the suspension of this decision, saying that "these incidents have been mastered [...] the situation has returned to normal, it is possible to move and travel without any danger [...] A government investigation will be conducted to ensure justice for every Haitian who has been a victim of violence [...] For the government, nothing is more important than the well-being and security of Haitian families."

Lafontant stresses that although the increase in fuel prices at the pump is suspended, his administration continues to work to find ways to compensate the losses due to the subsidy on petroleum products in order to achieve the objectives of economic and social development of Haiti.
