Following the promise on June 6, 2017 at the official opening of the Technology Summit "Haiti Tech Summit" https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-21163-haiti-politics-moise-opens-the-international-summit-haiti-tech-summit.html to continue the Martelly government's initiative https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-16527-icihaiti-politic-towards-the-establishment-of-the-technological-innovation-incubator-centre.html to set up a technological innovation incubator, Saturday President Moïse has kept his promise.

At the Ciné Triomphe, in the presence of Jude Alix Patrick Salomon, Minister of the Economy, Joseph Guyler C. Delva, Minister of Communication, Hugue Joseph the Secretary General of the Primature who represented the Prime Minister Lafontant, Marteen Boute President and CEO of Digicel and several personalities of the government and the business sector, President Jovenel Moïse officially launched the Incubator of technological innovation "Alpha Haiti".

In his intervention, the Head of State declared "[...] On June 6, 2017, I made the commitment to set up an Incubator Center for Technological Innovation, which should have the role of foster an enabling environment for start-up companies that promote and showcase technology for commercial purposes. Today, I am happy to officially launch the Alpha Haiti Incubator.

The vision associated with the establishment of such a structure, is primarily to make a hive, a place where young people filled with diverse talents, who need guidance, come to develop their ideas. The ambition of this incubator is to make it one of the most important centers in the Region where technology and digital will be used as levers to modernize the economy, promote the creation of skilled jobs and develop products and services with high added value.

Our country, in addition to its numerous untapped assets, has an exceptional resource: the youth of the population. 67% of the population is under the age of thirty. It is a mine, it is a formidable capital which, if well directed, well supervised, can help to make a change of future with this country [...]

My administration is committed to providing the Alpha Haiti Incubator with all the support necessary to not only facilitate the mentoring process, but also to ensure access to start-up funding for start-ups that will emerge.

Alpha Haiti will be there to accompany you. Start! Dream! Dream bigger! Invent the future and we will be there to support you."
