Haiti - Agriculture : Seeds of rice and invasion of rats, the Natcom denies and specifies

Following the statements (early May https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-24262-haiti-news-zapping.html ) of Deputy Samuel d'Haïti (Konbit Nasyonal - KONA) accusing the Natcom Company of having distributed agricultural seeds that attract rats in the rice fields, an information denied by Natcom, of false rumors and allegations continue to be broadcast on internet, again binding the company Natcom to intervene to make an update on this case and restore the truth of the facts :

"Natcom understands and sympathizes with the inhabitants of the region [Arttibonite] confronted with an invasion of rats destroying rice fields. Through this press note, Natcom wants to confirm to all that it is a national telecommunications company in Haiti. It focuses only on the telecommunications sector [...] and does not intend to integrate with other areas such as agriculture, particularly rice, to respond to certain allegations.

In June 2017, a delegation representing the Haitian government, including 6 senators and other officials paid an official visit to Hanoi to meet with the Government of Vietnam and members of the business sector https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-21296-haiti-politics-vietnam-an-example-of-reforms-for-haiti-according-to-youri-latortue.html

During the visit, the senators were very interested in the development of agriculture especially of rice cultivation in Vietnam, internationally recognized for its quality and productivity [...] and wished to receive samples of this seed in order to to test them in Haiti, Vietnam accepted the request of the senators and provided them with samples according to the needs expressed.

Natcom only served as an intermediary between Vietnam and the senators and confirmed that it was not involved in the distribution of rice seed to the inhabitants of Artibonite."
