Sénèque Estimable Mayor of Estère (Dept. Artibonite) missing since May 23 https://www.haitilibre.com/article-24507-haiti-securite-un-maire-disparu-depuis-plus-de-72-heures.html was found in the night of May 28 to 29.

Me Samuel Madistin, Mayor Estimable's lawyer explained that his client was safe and sound, stating that he was kidnapped Wednesday afternoon, May 23, after having made a transaction at the BRH on the street of Miracles in Port-au-Prince.

He indicated that the kidnappers had sequestered the Mayor Estimable in a locality of the municipality of Chambrun (Croix-des-Bouquets) and that he did not seem to have been abused.

No ransom was claimed but the kidnappers tried, without success, to force the mayor to sign a check in their name. His captors finally decided to release him in the night of May 28 to 29. Sénèque Estimable made contact with the first police patrol he met, agents of the Motorized Intervention Brigade based not far from the "morne-à-cabrits" who took charge of him.
