In this circumstance, the Municipality of Port-de-Paix decrees a "communal mourning" from Sunday May 27th until the funeral.

The funeral of Deputy Mayor Tony Vernio is decreed : communal funeral :

For this purpose:

The flag will be half-masted in all public and private institutions and schools;

Radio and television stations, taxis, discotheques and bars will broadcasts music of circumstance ;

The municipal communications office will inform the public in time and place of arrangements and preparations for the funeral
