Haiti - Economy : Pay finally your taxes online

Monday, Ronald Décembre, the Secretary of State for Finance and Miradin Morlan the Director General of Taxes, accompanied by DGI Technology Director Serge Rosenthal Jr. presented the system of online declaration (e-declaration) and payment online (e-payment) now in operation.

This online declaration and payment system, launched in 2015 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-15780-haiti-politic-the-payment-of-taxes-online-is-now-a-reality.html is finally in operation following a tripartite agreement between the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH), the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) and Commercial Banks: BNC, Sogebank, Capital Bank, Unibank, meanwhile the membership of other banks.

This reliable and secure system is accessible on the DGI website : www.edeclaration.dgi.gouv.ht/edeclaration/ where you just have to register, to follow the various steps and to hold an account at one of the 4 commercial banks mentioned above.

Available both for natural and legal persons, this new service will not only help to avoid long queues in front of the DGI premises, but also allow taxpayers to easily benefit from different services of the DGI among others : Passport fee, final income tax return, document legalization fee, turnover tax (TCA), payroll tax (TMS)

To help taxpayers fill out the forms, agencies will soon be formed and authorized.

In addition, note that the expiry date of the lease payment and the Property Contribution of Built Properties (CFPB) having expired since 31 March 2018, the DGI grants an extension to the persons concerned until 30 April 2018.
