In an interview conducted Monday, Mgr Pierre-Andre Dumas, bishop of the Diocese of Anse-à-veau and of Miragoane, has mentioned, among other the reports of the church in front of the weakness of the state "I believe that in the dialogue, we are no longer alone, abandoned, delivered to itself, we know that the other is there, with whom we must now build. Regarding the position of the church facing the return of Duvalier and of the former President Aristide, Mgr Pierre-André Dumas has explained his position "What I know, as a man of church, Bishop and Pastor in Haiti is that I believe that the time has come for that we turn the page, I believe that the time has arrived for the Haitian can sit around a table, but seriously. but seriously we must also understand, as did a little the South Africa, that we can get a kind of commission of truth, of justice and reconciliation, a commission that could help shed light, truth and at the same time a commission that could make understand, that from the reconciliation, with forgiveness, the history is no longer the same"
