Haiti - NOTICE : D-2, Time change in Haiti

Yves Germain Joseph, the Secretary General of the Presidency reminds the population of the provisions of the Presidential Decree of Wednesday, March 7, 2012, on the adoption of the change of time according to the seasons (Article #1 and #2).

Article 1 :

From the date hereof, from 2:00 am on the second Sunday of March [ie Sunday, March 11, 2018], the national time will advance by 60 minutes.

So Sunday at 2:00 am, it will be 3:00 am, to enjoy the longer duration of the days in summer.

Article 2 :

From the date hereof, starting at 2:00 a.m. on the first Sunday of November [5 November 2017], the national time will decrease by 60 minutes.

The population is invited to adjust to these new provisions, so as not to have any setbacks in their daily activities.

Note that this provision was canceled under the interim presidency of Jocelerme Privert https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-16847-haiti-notice-haiti-will-not-change-to-daylight-saving-time-this-year.html before being re-established by the Moïse-Lafontant Government.
