Prime Minister Jack Guy Lafontant was shocked to learn of the cowardly and villainous assassination of the Municipal Inspector Paul Gilbert, to Delmas 19, on Friday, February 17.

"Saddened by this loss, Prime Minister Jack Guy Lafontant wishes to express his deepest sympathies and sincere condolences to the Police Institution, the police officers of the Security Unit of the Prime Minister's Office (USPM) and the bereaved family.

Assigned to the USPM since November 2017, the municipal inspector Paul Gilbert had always distinguished himself by his seriousness and his professionalism in the accomplishment of his tasks.

In his capacity as President of the Superior Council of the National Police (CSPN), Prime Minister Jack Guy Lafontant renews his Government's determination to fight insecurity throughout the country.
