Haiti - Politic : Haiti in solidarity with Venezuela

Friday, as part of his Dignity tour of Latin America and the Caribbean to bring the truth of Venezuela and defend its sovereignty, Chancellor of the Bolivarian Republic Jorge Arreaza, met with President Moïse, to strengthen among other solidarity links against the interventionist attacks of the United States and its allies against the two peoples and other progressive countries.

Following his visit Chancellor Arreaza said, "We have been able to review our bilateral joint plans, PetroCaribe, oil supply, PetroCaribe program compensation, Venezuela's import of Haitian products and our political relations in full." He also thanked the cordiality and solidarity of the Haitian people and government with Venezuela "at the moment when it is being attacked by the international extreme right and American imperialism [...]" according the Chancellor who recalls that "The first Republic of our America was Haiti and although capitalism has changed it, it is Venezuela, Petrocaribe, Alba-TCP that still shake the hand of his sister the Republic of Haiti [...]" adding "Haiti is for us a mother not only since Bolívar and Pétion [...] President Nicolás Maduro himself puts Haiti on a pedestal," adding that "the Republic Haiti will always have the support of the people and of the Government of Venezuela."

For his part Antonio Rodrigue, the Foreign Minister expressed his pleasure at the visit of his Venezuelan counterpart "We are very happy to meet the Venezuelan delegation, because the two countries share good relations, we are brother countries and we are always grateful of their visit, it is important for us."
