Friday in the commune of Hinche, under the Education component of the Japanese Cooperation, the Japanese Ambassador to Haiti Yoshiaki Hatta, proceeded to the official inauguration of two school projects in the presence of Présendieu Lochard, Executive Secretary of the Action Committee for the Reforestation and Education of Mormont (CAREM), Gesther Exilus, Coordinator of the Spiritual Mutual Association of United Brother Brothers and Repatriates (AMSAFUR), as well as local authorities, members faculty, parents and students.

Project of Development of the School of CAREM, submitted by the Action Committee for the Reforestation and the Education of Marmont for an amount of 105,946 US dollars to improve the conditions of learning of the 315 pupils of the school and to receive more children who do not have access to basic education, the project includes the rehabilitation of 7 existing classrooms and the construction of three new classrooms.

Development Project of the Holiness Community Mixed School submitted by the Mutual Spiritual Association of the Former United Brothers and the Returnees (AMSAFUR), for an amount of 81,897 dollars intended to provide the 180 pupils with a school environment that meets basic pedagogical standards, Holiness Community School is currently housed in a premises that is not its own, is preparing to build a building with 6 classrooms equipped with school furniture (boards, benches and tables) and a sanitary block.

These new buildings, which respect the pedagogical approach of the Ministry of National Education, are equipped with access for people with reduced mobility, will allow students to enjoy an improved school environment, conducive to learning, facilitating their fulfillment and the development of their potential.

In his speech, Ambassador Yoshiaki Hatta emphasized that these two projects testify to Japan's commitment to support basic education and education for all in Haiti as well as the solidarity of the Japanese people towards Haiti for a strengthening of its resilience and sustainable development process.
