Haiti - Economy : Inauguration of a single window at SONAPI

This week, the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MCI), together with the Directorate General of Taxes (DGI), proceeded to the National Company of Industrial Parks (SONAPI), to the official inauguration of a single window (physical) of MCI in order to facilitate business in Haiti.

This one-stop shop will facilitate business facilitation, a priority goal for the Government in its quest for investment, growth and jobs. It is also an important step in the long road, already underway, to improve the indicator "Doing Business in Haiti" https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-22606-haiti-economy-doing-business-2018-in-business-haiti-stagnates-and-remains-misclassified.html by creating better conditions for the creation and development of new businesses.

From now on, with this new one-stop shop, the Haitian entrepreneur and investors will no longer have to go back and forth between the DGI and the MCI for: issuing a license; the allocation of the tax roll number; the payment of the operating fee; the delivery of the final tax return; the certificate of tax fulfillment (Quitus); the granting of the Professional Identity Card (CIP); the sale of the mobile stamp; the payment of the publication fee to Le Moniteur newspaper; the payment of the stamp duty; the payment of the license fee among others ...
