Haiti - Religion : President moïse salutes the path taken by Christians and reaffirms his faith

As part of the great spiritual gathering of the international program of evangelization "Impact Nations" founded by Mohammed Sanogo (January 5 to 12, 2018), around the theme "Solèy Bondye rive sou Ayiti" President Jovenel Moïse intervened on the evening of 10 January 2018 at the Sylvio-Castor stadium in front of more than 10,500 Christians gathered in prayer and reaffirmed his Christian faith.

For the occasion, the Head of State was accompanied by his wife Martine, some members of his private cabinet, including his Chief of Staff, Wilson Laleau, the Mayor of Port-au-Prince Youri Chevr, of President of the Protestant Federation of Haiti, Reverend Pastor Sylvain Exantus and several members of the Government.

This great Gospel crusade which gathered during a week at the Sylvio Cator Stadium, several thousand Christians is organized by pastors Grégory Toussaint (Tabernacle of Glory of Miami), Yvan Castanou (Christian Center Impact of France) and Mohammed Sanogo (Churches Vases of honor of Ivory Coast).

The Head of State during this evening reaffirmed his Christian faith.

"This is the people of God who is before me tonight. February 7, 2017 I dedicated the country to God and I asked for 3 days of prayer for the country, pastors present also dedicates 3 days of prayer for the country, the 18-19 and 20 January, the prayer is the only thing that puts us in communion with God. I'll give you a secret tonight, during all my campaign, my strength is there I found it, in God [...]"

The Head of State also evoked the feeling of isolation of a President "[...] being President of a country it is not easy, great decision must be made, sometimes you are alone in the decision in these cases one person is with me, God, he is always there. That's why when I make decisions, I do not take them without praying, without talking to God and he answers me [...]"

Moïse concluded his intervention by saying that the road of fraternity borrowed today by the Christians of Haiti is the one Haiti so badly needs. He invited Haitians to take the same path.
