Haitian Football Federation (FHF) is on track to have its first Headquarter. This work are funded 100% by FIFA, from a humanitarian fund of solidarity voted in the aftermath of the earthquake. The company Tecina. SA is responsible for the construction and Habitat SA has signed a contract with FIFA as firm of supervision. FIFA has recently signed a contract with the Dutch firm Edelgrass for the installation of artificial turf of latest generation in the Sylvio Cator stadium; installation work will take three (3) months. This is a moment that forever mark the history of the Haitian Football. The works for the construction the new Headquarter of the FHF have begun last Friday on the site of the "FIFA Goal Center Joseph Blatter" in Croix des Bouquets.

The Headquarter itself with an area of 350 square meters, will be built on a steel frame capable to resist to the earthquakes and all kinds of weather. The first phase of works concerns the expansion and modernization of the kitchen, the rehabilitation of the refectory, the repair of the changing rooms, the reconditioning of the football field in natural grass and that of the fence damaged by the earthquake, the construction of an access route via Carrefour Marassa, the site drainage and of course the construction of new Headquarter.

The second phase of of the works will include a gym for strength training and a clinical care for injured athletes and the installation of an artificial pitch for training.
Parallel to the FIFA, the telephone company Digicel has begun the renovation of the fields of the main provincial football centers. In Saint Marc, the stadium was equipped with a lighting system for night matches. Digicel, sponsor of the Haitian football, will install a lighting system similar to Cap Haitien [Work delayed by the city...Mayor and Delegate want to impose their own company to do the work while Digicel has already signed with another company] work that should have been completed since October 2010.
