Haiti - Social : Update on the demonstrations in the country

Demonstrations are reported across the country. Many of these demonstrations, without being impressive in number, involve mostly young demonstrators highly mobile and violent. Many testimonies have reported injured due to stone or bottles throwing or because of localized clashes with security forces.

Demonstrators have erected barricades on the road of Frères between the Brothers cemetery of Petion Ville and Delmas 95. Witnesses report that the demonstrators threw stones and other objects on car drivers. Demonstrations are reported in Port-au-Prince, in the Department of Artibonite, on Route Nationale # 1 in the area of l'Estère (between St. Marc and Gonaives), in the Department of South-East (Jacmel), in the Department du Nord, in the Cap Haitien (and on the bridge leading to the airport).
