Sunday, after the Artibonite, the North-East and the North, Régine Lamur, the Minister of Youth and Sports, determined to deconcentrate the services of the Ministry, set sail for the South to meet the members of the Departmental Direction and discuss in particular the revival of departmental structures, sports facilities in the department and the organization of school games...

"Funds are available in the current budget for the purchase of materials aimed at improving working conditions" assured them Minister Lamur while reminding them that the resources were limited and that their use should allow to reach a specific objective, recalling "Each activity of the ministry in general and of a departmental direction in particular must have a finality."

Jude Désir, the Director of Physical Activities and Sports of the Ministry who accompanied the Minister recalled "school games and sports remain a priority for the Ministry" insisting on the standardization of games in all departments, the responsibility of the directors of schools, the expected results and the values to be conveyed.

During this meeting Minister Lamur also spoke about the identification, rehabilitation, maintenance and rational management of sports facilities in the department and expressed great interest in the park "Land des abions" because of its historical value and the attachment that the people of the South give to this land.

Issues related to staffing, cooperation, project processing and validation, recurrent and ad hoc activities of the Ministry were also on the agenda.

Note that Gerson Edée, the Coordinator of the Installation and Infrastructure Unit, Jean Roland Dartiguenave, Coordinator of the Departmental Directorates and Samuel Clergé the Southern Departmental Director accompanied the Minister to this meeting.
