Haiti - FLASH : The population in Beladère attacks a police station

Friday at midday, members of the population tried to break into the police station of the Border Commune of Beladère to release a person arrested in the morning, accused of involvement in the fire of a motorcycle...

In order to restore order, the agents of the Departmental Unit of Maintenance of the Order (UDMO) intervened. After firing in the air, they used tear gas grenades to disperse the crowd, creating panic in the area.

Very angry, the attackers retreated and erected barricades of burning tires and threw stones at the police station... Assessment of clashes two motorcycle and two cars burned... The death of a woman is reported at her home during this event.
