Financing agreements for 11 agricultural projects, stemming from the first call for proposals from the Agricultural Extension Services Fund (FSV), will be signed this Thursday, November 30, 2017 in Laborde in Les Cayes (South) with the participation of the agricultural authorities, representatives of the donors, of Organizations of Beneficial Rural Producers and those of the consortium AGRER S.A. https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-17946-haiti-notice-2nd-phase-of-the-project-resepag-ii-in-the-south.html and the Center for Professional Training and Agricultural Promotion (CFFPA Carmejane - France), prime contractor.

This first batch of projects, totaling more than 64 million gourdes (± 1 million US dollars), concerns the storage, processing and marketing of maize, cassava, peanuts and rice :

Remember that the FSV set up within the framework of the Strengthening Public Agricultural Services Project (RESEPAG II) of the Ministry of Agriculture of Natural Resources and Rural Development is financed by the World Bank.

The FSV finances from 70% to 80% of projects ranging between 1.5 million and 9 million gourdes, in all southern communes, in order to promote the sustainable increase of income, the productivity of farmers and contribute to improving the impact of agricultural activities on the environment.
