Haiti - Politic : Seminar on the fight against corruption for the mayors of Artibonite

After the seminar on the fight against corruption, designed by the Anti-Corruption Unit (ULCC) in collaboration with the National Federation of Haitian Mayors (FENAMH) for the benefit of the mayors of the West conducted on October 20 and 21 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-22494-haiti-politics-the-mayors-of-the-west-engage-in-the-fight-against-corruption.html it is the turn of the mayors of the Artibonite to attend this seminar on November 13, 14 and 15, at the hotel Le Village d'Ennery, around the theme "Towards the involvement of local elected officials in the fight against corruption ".

The ULCC, during these sessions, intends to sensitize local elected representatives on the need for sound management of public resources and local projects reflecting the concepts of ethics, integrity, transparency, pf responsibility for the communities they administer. On the other hand, the focus will be on the declaration of assets, the first act of transparency on the part of an elected official, as required by law.

It will also be an opportunity for mayors and various experts from the ULCC, of the Primature and the Ministry of the Interior and Territorial Communities (MICT) to explore and debate topics such as: the legal framework and local authorities, the local budget execution modalities, the prescriptions of the law on prevention and repression of corruption and also on the declaration of assets.

At the end of this seminar, a certificate will be given to all participating mayors who will sign a personal commitment to the fight against corruption.
