The financial consulting firm Arton Capital has just updated its ranking of passports across the world. Passports considered the most advantageous are those issued by countries that allow to visit the maximum number of countries without the need to apply for a visa prior to arrival.
In the Region (Caricom area and the Caribbean) Haiti (150th in the world rankings out of 199) is last with a passport allowing to visit only 54 countries without visa (+1 country since 2015 *) out of 199 member countries of the United Nations. The passport of the Dominican Republic (130th in the world ranking) makes it possible to visit 62 countries without visa (+6 countries since 2015 *). The best passport of the Region is Barbados (49th in the world ranking) which allows to visit 136 countries without visa.
For the North America zone, the two best passports are those of the United States and Canada which allow each to visit 154 countries without a visa.
At the global level the passport of Germany has been dethroned by that of Singapore has become the most advantageous in the world since Paraguay has suspended the visa requirement for Singaporeans, who can now travel to 159 countries without a visa, compared with only 158 for Germans.
